As a leader in road safety education, the Road Safety Centre is committed to enhancing road safety awareness, knowledge, and skills through lifelong learning. Their programs, developed and delivered by experienced police officers, provide unique insights drawn from real-world expertise, making each session impactful and engaging.
Road Safety Programs for All
The Road Safety Centre offers a variety of free programs designed for schools, businesses, and community groups. Sessions target students, teachers, parents, and organisations, and can be conducted either at the centre or at your preferred location. These programs aim to educate on critical road safety topics, including the "Fatal Five" – key factors in road crashes.

Mock Roadway for Learning and Fun
One of the Centre’s standout features is its free mock roadway, located at Military Road, West Beach. This safe and engaging environment allows young pedestrians and cyclists to learn about road safety in a fun, interactive setting.
Families are welcome to enjoy the mock roadway for cycling and scooting, making it a great spot for active outdoor play when the Centre is not in operation:
- Weekends
- Between 8am and 10am on weekdays (including school holidays)
- After 3pm on weekdays (including school holidays)
Expert Educators
The Centre’s police educators are available to participate in events and displays, sharing important road safety information with the community. With a hands-on approach, they bring road safety to life, fostering a safer environment for all South Australians.
